The 2007 Season...Danny Reyes President

Welcome Members to a New Year of Golf, Fun and Fellowship. We would like to welcome Kim Bargmann to the Board of Directors as your 2007 Tournament Chairman. The rest of the Staff holds close to 20 years of combined experience to serve you. We would also like to welcome Ram Villarreal back to the Board as our Treasurer. And thanks to Mario Najera for stepping in and doing a great job as treasurer when that position was vacated. And for his devotion and commitment to Irving PAGA.

As your Tournament Director in 2006, those who participated saw me every Tournament Day. What you didn't see was all the hard and time consuming work done by President-Anita Avila, Vice President-Don Nixon, and Public Relations Officer-Tony Reyes. I express my gratitude and appreciation for dedicated service and look forward to working with you again in 2007.

Many ideas are being discussed at this time to increase membership and tournament participation on Sundays. We have already voted to reduce the Membership Fee to $35.00. There are ongoing discussions with fellow board members to find additional ways to help with new memberships and former members. In previous years, We have had A and B Flights when participation is good. In 2006, there was mostly one flight, which everyone was included. Due to lack of participation.

I will introduce to the Board at our next meeting on January 16, 2007. A proposal to have two flights. One consisting of all players regardless of handicap and a Seniors flight who would play from the forward tee box. In order to make this work. We need all members to start recruiting more players or former members. Who we have dearly missed. We would love for you to come and join with us again.

All members are invited to our meeting January 16, 2007 at 7pm. At the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts, 2000 W. Airport Frwy, Irving, Texas. We need your input at what age the Senior flight should start. As well as helping with some other very important issues.

We the Board of Directors can only go so far. We need your valuable input and help in bringing in more players. I hope to see you at our next meeting and thanks on behalf of the 2007 Board of Directors for letting us serve you.

We are looking forward to an exciting year and hope that you'll be a big part of it.
