•Treasurer (Mario Najera) presented the end of year financial report. As he handed out packet with information of the report.
•Anita brought up the desire of Irviing PAGA to get more Junior golfers for 2007 and especially to play iin the nationals. Motion to check with local Irving schools for eligibility of players and that it would be in good standing with UIL rules for the State of Texas.
•Board voted unanimously to drop the current membership fee from $50.00 to $35.00. Also the deadline will be March 1st. All participants in tournaments must reallize that to be able to win anything in our tournaments you must be a member.
•The 2007 Tournament Director (Kim Bargmann) announced that our first tournament for 2007 will be February 26th. Place to be announced.
•The Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Irving PAGA in association with Irving Cares Inc., help out three families in need. Each family has received $500.00 christmas gift certificate to Wal-Mart from Irving PAGA. These contributions are small. But, help in a very big way. The three families are:
Michele Massengale (grandmother) lost her job last week. Michele and her 13 yr. old daughter moved in with her older daughter (Jessica Ryan) who is sceduled to receive assistance for day care, so she can look for a job. Jessica's, husband to be, is not working due to recent surgery. And their family has kids ages, 13, 10, 8, 5, 3 and 1 month old.
Mary Rebels (single parent) has children in the ages of 13, 12, 11, 10, 2 and 6 months old.
Teresa Cano (grandmother) unemployed takes care of all the kids. Malanie Cano (kids mom) only one working. And Maggie Cano (Daily Dialysis Treatments). They have kids in the ages of 9, 7, 6, 2 and 6 months old.

Irving PAGA also helped Gilbert Hernandez (Irving founder) and wife,Alice, with a $1,000.00 contribution. Because of health and financial difficulties.

The 2007 season is a special year for the Irving
PAGA. It is the 20th Anniversary for the membership.
While we are still two years away from the 20th
Anniversary for the NPAGA. It is still special for our
chapter. 20 years ago a group of folks got together to
form a golf association. And with all the hard work
over time and dedication from the membership. Irving
has grown into one of the more popular Chapters of the
NPAGA. The 2006 membership was smaller than it has been
in recent years. And the 2007 Board is taking steps to
help our association grow.
For the 2007 golf season. The new membership fee will
be $35.00. This is down from the $50 fee in previous
years. And the deadline to get your membership in to
qualify for the Nationals will be March 1st. The first
tournament for the 2007 season will be Feb. 26th. A
schedule will be sent out as soon as it is ready. We
will be taking new/renewing memberships starting
January 2nd, 2007. You can mail in the form with your
check to our address located on the registration form.
The National PAGA Golf tournament and convention will
be early in 2007. Ft. Worth is sponsoriing this yearly
event. This will be the 50th Annual Tournament. And
will be held startiing July 2-7. You can find out more

One of the goals that the 2007 Board wants to improve
on is our junior program. If your interested in
sponsoring a junior golfer or let us know if you have a
junior golfer. We need to increase our membership. The
2007 Tournament Chairman (Kiim Bargmann) along with
Danny Reyes are putting together a great schedule. With
some different golf courses from previous years. So, we
are very excited about the upcoming year. And we are
working hard to make our invitational even better.
